Tada File

About

TadaFile is a free set of 129 image tools (crop, resize, compress, convert, remove backgrounds, make PDFs and more) that work entirely in your web browser. It is available in 10 languages and needs no account.

Why it exists

Most online image tools upload your photo to a server to edit it. That is slow on a weak connection, and it means handing your personal photos, documents and ID pictures to someone else. Modern browsers are powerful enough to do this work themselves, so here every image tool runs on your own device. Your images never leave it.

A few document tools, such as Word to PDF and Compress PDF, need software that can't run in a browser. They use our server, say so clearly on the page, and delete your file as soon as the result is sent back.

How it works

  • In your browser: image editing uses the browser's canvas and WebAssembly, the same technology that runs games and video editors on the web.
  • AI on your device: the background remover downloads a model once and runs it locally. Your photo is never sent anywhere.

Built for everyone

Every tool works on a phone and can be used with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at large zoom levels and in high-contrast mode. Read the accessibility statement for details.

Who makes it

TadaFile is built and maintained by Aditya Nalawade in India. The code is open source under the AGPL-3.0 license: you can read it, check what it does, and suggest changes.

Keeping it free

The tools are free to use, with no sign-up and no watermarks.
