Add Background to PDF
Give PDF pages a background color, behind the content like colored paper or as a tint. Free, and it runs on your device.
Add Background to PDF colors the pages of a PDF. “Behind the content” works like colored paper: text and pictures sit on top unchanged. Many PDFs, including scans, paint their own white page, which hides a color behind it; for those, “Tint the page” colors every white area while black text stays black. Pick a soft color or any color you like, for all pages or just some, and check the result in the preview.

Questions
Why doesn’t the color show?
The page paints its own white background over it. Choose “Tint the page” instead.
Will the color print?
Yes, it’s part of the page. Most printers leave a thin white border at the edge.
Can I remove the background later?
Not from the new file. Keep the original if you may want it without the color.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It’s processed on your device and never leaves it.
