Add Headers and Footers to PDF
Add text, page numbers, dates and the file name to the top and bottom of every PDF page. Free, and it runs on your device.
Add Headers and Footers puts text in six places on each page: left, center and right of the header and the footer. Use {page} and {pages} for “Page 3 of 12”, {date} for today’s date and {file} for the file name, alongside your own words such as a title, company or “Confidential”. Choose the text size, color and distance from the edge, skip the cover page, and see every page in the preview before you download. Japanese, Korean, Greek and Cyrillic text are supported.

Questions
How do I write “Page 1 of 10”?
Type Page {page} of {pages}. {page} becomes each page’s number and {pages} the last one.
Can I leave the cover page out?
Yes. Tick the option to leave the first page as it is; numbering then starts on page 2 with the number you choose.
Will it cover my content?
The text sits in the margin at the distance you choose. Pick a larger distance or smaller text if a page’s content reaches the edge.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. It’s processed on your device and never leaves it.
