Original PDF
Changed PDF
Compare PDFs shows the differences between two versions of a document, such as a contract before and after edits, or two drafts of a report. The text view lists every removed and added word, with only the changed passages if you like, and a count of the changes. The visual view puts the pages side by side and highlights every difference in magenta, so you also catch changes in pictures, layout and signatures. Download the changes as a text report. Everything happens in your browser.

Questions
Do the PDFs need the same number of pages?
No. The text is compared as a whole, so added or removed pages show up as added or removed text. The visual view compares pages with the same number.
Why does the visual view show changes the text view doesn't?
Pictures, layout, colors and signatures aren't text; the visual view catches them.
Can it compare scanned PDFs?
The visual view can. For the text view, run both through OCR PDF first.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so the document stays on your device.
