Overlay PDF

Put a letterhead, background or stamp from one PDF on top of or under the pages of another. Free, and it runs on your device.

Overlay PDF combines two PDFs page on page: put your company letterhead behind a letter, a background design under a report, or a 'Draft' or 'Approved' sheet on top of every page. Choose whether the overlay goes on top or underneath, which overlay page goes where (the first page on every page, or page by page), which pages to cover, and how strong it should be. The preview shows each page as it will be saved. Everything happens in your browser.

What it does

On top or underneath
A stamp over the text, or a letterhead behind it.
Page matching
Use the first overlay page everywhere, or match pages one by one.
Stays sharp
The overlay is placed as vector content, not a picture of it.
Private
The PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Questions

Why can't I see the overlay underneath?

Some PDFs paint a white background on every page, which hides anything underneath. Put the overlay on top with a lower opacity instead.

What if the pages are different sizes?

The overlay is scaled to fit each page, keeping its proportions, and centred.

Can I use an image as the overlay?

Use JPG to PDF to turn the image into a PDF first, or Watermark PDF to place an image directly.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so the document stays on your device.
