The decoded image appears here
Base64 to Image decodes Base64 text back into a picture you can see and save. You can paste a bare Base64 string, a full data URI, or a CSS url() or HTML src snippet that contains one; URL-safe Base64 and line breaks are handled automatically. The tool detects whether the data is PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP or AVIF, and shows the decoded image with its dimensions.

Questions
What kind of Base64 text can I paste?
A bare Base64 string, a data URI such as data:image/png;base64,..., or a CSS or HTML snippet that contains one. Spaces, line breaks and URL-safe characters are cleaned up automatically.
Why do I get an error?
The text is often cut off when it is copied. Make sure you copied the whole string, including the end, which may contain = signs.
Is the downloaded file identical to the original?
The image is decoded and saved again in the format you choose. PNG keeps every pixel, while JPG and WebP are compressed again. Animated GIFs become a single still image, and SVG graphics are saved as pixel images.
How does the tool know which image type it is?
Each format starts with a known signature, for example iVBORw0KGgo for PNG or /9j/ for JPEG. The tool reads these first characters to decode the image correctly.
Is my Base64 data sent to a server?
No. The text is decoded in your browser and the image is created on your device.
