Questions
Why isn't my barcode found?
Make sure it is in focus, well lit and fills a good part of the picture, with no strong reflections. Very small or blurred barcodes can't be read.
Can it look up the product?
No. It reads the number in the barcode; it doesn't search product databases, so nothing you scan is sent anywhere.
Does the camera need permission?
Yes, your browser asks once. The video stays on your device and stops as soon as a code is found.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Photos and camera frames are read in your browser and stay on your device.
