Flip Image
Mirror a picture horizontally or vertically, for example to fix a reversed selfie or backwards text.
Flip Image creates a mirror copy of a picture. A horizontal flip swaps left and right, which fixes selfies from a front camera where writing appears backwards. A vertical flip turns the picture upside down like a reflection in water, and using both flips together gives the same result as a 180° rotation.

What it does
- Horizontal and vertical mirror
- Flip in one direction or both, and see the result in the preview straight away.
- Pixels are not changed
- A flip only moves pixels to new positions. Save as PNG to keep every pixel exactly as it was.
- Keeps your format
- A JPG is saved as JPG and a PNG as PNG by default, so you get the same kind of file back.
- Processed in your browser
- The image is flipped on your device and is never uploaded to a server.
Questions
What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
Flipping creates a mirror image, so any text reads backwards. Rotating turns the whole picture around its center, and text stays readable.
How do I fix a mirrored selfie?
Many front cameras save selfies as a mirror image. Open the photo, click Flip Horizontal and download it; text in the background will read correctly again.
Does flipping an image reduce its quality?
The flip itself does not change any pixel values. If you save as JPG, WebP or AVIF the image is compressed again, so use a high quality setting or PNG.
Can I flip an image both ways at once?
Yes. Flip Both mirrors the image horizontally and vertically, which looks the same as rotating it by 180°.
