Protect your photos with a text or logo watermark, placed in one spot or repeated across the whole image.

Watermark Image adds a copyright notice, website name or logo on top of a photo. Place a text or logo watermark at one of nine positions and set its size and opacity, or repeat the text across the entire image, which is much harder to crop out. Logos can be PNG, WebP, JPG or SVG files; a logo with a transparent background looks best.

How to use Watermark Image

    Open your photo

    Drop, choose or paste a JPG, PNG, WebP or iPhone HEIC image.

    Choose text or logo

    Select Text Watermark and type your text, or select Image Logo and choose a PNG, WebP, JPG or SVG file.

    Place and style it

    Click a position in the 3 × 3 grid, then set the opacity and size. For text, you can also set the color and rotation, or turn on Repeat Across Image.

    Keep the original format or choose another one, then click Download.

Questions

How do I add my logo as a watermark?

Choose Image Logo, click Choose Logo and select your file. Set the logo size as a percentage of the image width, pick a position, and lower the opacity so the photo stays visible.

What opacity should a watermark have?

Around 30% to 50% is visible without hiding the photo. Use a higher value if the watermark must be easy to read.

What is a tiled watermark?

Repeat Across Image prints your text many times over the whole photo. It is much harder to remove by cropping than a single mark in a corner. It is available for text watermarks.

Why does my logo have a white box around it?

The logo file has a solid background. Use a PNG, WebP or SVG with a transparent background, or remove the background first with Remove Background.

Can a watermark stop people from copying my photo?

A watermark makes copying less attractive and shows who owns the image, but it cannot fully prevent copying. Large, central or tiled marks are harder to remove than a small corner mark.
