SVG Optimizer

Make SVG files smaller without changing how they look, with settings that keep them scalable. Free, on your device.

SVG Optimizer cleans up SVG files exported from design apps, which often carry editor data, comments, long decimals and unused definitions. It uses SVGO, the standard optimizer, with safe settings: the viewBox stays so the drawing still scales, titles stay for screen readers, and IDs aren't renamed unless you ask. See the original and optimized versions side by side with the size saved, then download the file or copy the code.

How to use SVG Optimizer

Drop a file or paste the code.

  2. 2

Questions

Will the optimized SVG look different?

Not with the default settings. Setting decimal places to 0 can shift small details; compare the two previews.

Why keep IDs?

Websites and animations often target parts of an SVG by ID. Shorten them only when nothing outside the file uses them.

How much smaller will it get?

Files from design apps often shrink by 30–70%; hand-written or already optimized files shrink less.

Is my file uploaded?

No. It's optimized on your device.
