Instagram Post Resizer
Fit a picture to Instagram's square, portrait, tall or landscape post size. Free, and it runs on your device.
Instagram Post Resizer makes a picture the right shape before you post it, so Instagram doesn't crop it for you. Choose square (1080 × 1080), portrait (1080 × 1350), tall (1080 × 1440) or landscape (1080 × 566), then drag the picture until the part you care about is in frame. To post a wide photo without cropping, show all of it on a blurred background.

Questions
What size should an Instagram post be?
1080 pixels wide. Instagram keeps photos uncropped between a wide 1.91:1 (1080 × 566) and a tall 3:4 (1080 × 1440). Square is 1080 × 1080, and 1080 × 1350 is a popular portrait size.
How do I post a whole photo without cropping?
Choose "Show it all". The whole photo sits inside the frame on a blurred copy of itself or a color you pick.
Which format should I save as?
JPG suits photos. PNG suits graphics with text, though the file is larger.
