Round Image Corners
Round the corners of an image or cut it into a circle, with a transparent background in PNG.
Round Image Corners gives a picture soft rounded corners or turns it into a circle for a profile picture or app icon. Choose the Small, Medium or Large preset, set an exact radius with the slider, or click Make Circle Avatar. The result is saved as PNG by default, so the cut-away corners stay transparent.

Questions
How do I make a round profile picture?
Click Make Circle Avatar. The circle uses the shorter side of the image and is centered, so for a non-square photo, crop it to 1:1 first to center the face and avoid empty space at the sides.
Why are my corners white or black instead of transparent?
JPG cannot store transparency. Choose PNG, WebP or AVIF to keep the corners transparent.
What do the Small, Medium and Large presets mean?
The largest possible radius is half of the shorter side of the image. Small, Medium and Large use 10%, 25% and 50% of that maximum.
Why is my rounded image file so large?
PNG is lossless, so a full-size camera photo can create a big file. Resize the photo first, or save as WebP, which also keeps transparency and is much smaller.
