HEIC to PNG
Convert iPhone HEIC photos to lossless PNG for editing and design work. The conversion runs on your device.
HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default, and many design tools, older apps and websites can't open it. HEIC to PNG converts the photo to PNG, a lossless format, so no further detail is lost when you edit and save it again. That makes it a good choice for photos you will retouch, put into a design or cut out. The conversion happens inside your browser, so the photo never leaves your device. For sharing or uploading, HEIC to JPG gives much smaller files.

Questions
PNG or JPG: which should I choose?
Choose PNG when you will edit the photo further or need exact pixels. Choose JPG for sharing, email and upload forms, because PNG files of photos are several times larger.
Why is the PNG so much bigger than the HEIC?
HEIC uses very efficient lossy compression. PNG is lossless, so it stores far more data. A 2 MB iPhone photo can become a PNG of 10 MB or more.
Does the PNG have a transparent background?
No. Photos have no transparency, so the PNG is fully opaque. To remove the background, open the result in Remove Background.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The HEIC decoder runs in your browser, so the photo stays on your device.
