JPG to PNG
Turn a JPG photo into a PNG file that will not lose more quality when you edit and save it again.
JPG to PNG converts a JPEG image into the PNG format. PNG uses lossless compression, so the image does not lose more quality each time you edit and save it, which is useful for screenshots, graphics and files you plan to work on later. The PNG has exactly the same pixels and dimensions as your JPG, but the file is usually larger.

Questions
Will converting JPG to PNG improve the quality?
No. PNG keeps the image exactly as it is now, but it cannot bring back detail that JPEG compression has already removed.
Does converting to PNG make the background transparent?
No. A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG keeps the same solid background. To remove the background, use the Remove Background tool.
Why is the PNG file bigger than the JPG?
PNG stores every pixel without lossy compression, while JPG discards fine detail to save space. Photos saved as PNG are often several times larger.
Can I convert several JPGs to PNG at once?
This page converts one file at a time. The Bulk Image Resizer can save up to 50 images as PNG in one ZIP if you set the scale to 100%.
Is the EXIF data of the JPG kept?
No. The PNG is created from the pixels only, so camera information and GPS location are not copied.
