PNG to JPG
Convert a PNG to a smaller JPG file and choose the color that replaces transparent areas.
PNG to JPG turns a PNG image into a JPEG, which is usually much smaller for photos and is accepted by almost every website and app. JPEG cannot store transparency, so you choose white, black or any custom color to fill transparent areas. You can also set the JPG quality from 10% to 100%.

Questions
What happens to the transparent background?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent and semi-transparent pixels are blended onto the background color you choose. White is selected by default.
Will the JPG be smaller than the PNG?
For photos and images with many colors, usually yes, often much smaller. For simple graphics with few colors, the PNG may already be small, and the JPG can even be larger.
What quality setting should I use?
85%, the default, works well for most photos. Use 90% to 100% for images with text or fine detail, and lower values when file size matters more than detail.
Why does text look blurry in my JPG?
JPEG compression can add soft edges and small spots around sharp text and lines. Use a higher quality, or keep logos and screenshots as PNG or WebP.
