WebP to JPG
Convert WebP images to JPG so they open in any app, photo viewer or upload form.
WebP to JPG converts WebP files, which are common on websites, into standard JPEG images. JPG is the safest choice when an older program, an upload form or a printing service does not accept WebP. If the WebP has transparent areas, you choose the color that fills them, because JPG cannot store transparency.
How to use WebP to JPG
- 1
Open a WebP file
Drop a WebP image on the upload box, click to choose one, or paste it with Ctrl+V.
- 2
Set the quality and fill color
Choose a quality between 10% and 100%. If the image has transparent parts, pick the color that will replace them.
- 3

Click Download JPG to save a file that opens almost anywhere.

Questions
Why do images from websites save as WebP?
Many websites deliver images as WebP because the files are smaller. When you save one, you get the WebP file, which some older programs cannot open.
What happens to transparent parts of a WebP?
JPG cannot store transparency, so those areas are filled with a solid color. White is used by default, and you can choose another color.
Can I convert an animated WebP?
Only a single still frame is converted, because JPG cannot store animation.
Will the JPG lose quality?
The WebP is decoded and saved again as JPG, which is a lossy format. Use 90% or higher to keep the result very close to the original.
