TIFF to PNG
Convert TIFF images to lossless PNG that every browser and editor opens. The conversion runs on your device.
TIFF files from scanners, cameras and design software can't be shown in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or on most websites. TIFF to PNG converts the image to PNG, which is lossless like TIFF, so every pixel is kept, and so is transparency. That makes it a good choice for scanned documents, line art and graphics you will edit further. If the file has several pages, the first page is converted; TIFF to PDF keeps every page. The conversion happens inside your browser, so the file never leaves your device.

What it does
- Lossless
- Every pixel of the TIFF page is kept exactly.
- Transparency kept
- Transparent areas of the TIFF stay transparent in the PNG.
- Most TIFF types
- Uncompressed, LZW, Deflate, PackBits, JPEG and black-and-white fax TIFFs all open.
- Private conversion
- The file is converted on your device and never uploaded.
Questions
Will the PNG be smaller than the TIFF?
Often, especially for uncompressed TIFFs and black-and-white scans. A TIFF that was already compressed may give a PNG of a similar size.
What happens to a multi-page TIFF?
The first page is converted. To keep every page, use TIFF to PDF, which makes one PDF page per TIFF page.
Is a very large scan resized?
Pages larger than about 16 megapixels, such as 4,000 × 4,000 pixels, are reduced to that size so every browser, iPhones included, can process them. Normal scans and photos are not resized.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The TIFF is decoded and converted in your browser, so it stays on your device.
